Check of pressure of oil
|
|
Do not touch a collector of the exhaust system if the exhaust system hot to avoid danger to be burned. You carry out maintenance after the exhaust system is cooled. |
|
|
Before checking oil pressure, check the following:
Oil level in an oil pan. If the level of oil is low, add oil to a mark of level of full gas station in the oil probe.
- Quality of oil. If oil lost color or worsened, replace it. Address the Section Engine in the Head Maintenance and lubricant to receive recommendations about use of concrete type of oils.
- Oil leaks. If leak is found, eliminate it.

Uncover a collector of exhaust gases, and then take out the relay of pressure of oil (1) from the block of cylinders.

Insert the special tool (the oil probe) into the formed empty opening.

Be careful, do not concern the special tool to a collector of the exhaust system at installation as the collector of the exhaust system becomes very hot. |
Start the engine and warm up it up to the normal working temperature.
|
|
Make sure that the lever of gear shifting costs on neutral (for the And/T models put the gear shifting lever in position "P"), both install the parking brake and block driving wheels. |
After warming up increase speed to 4,000 revolutions per minute and measure oil pressure. Technical characteristics of pressure of oil: 390 – 470 kPa (3.9 – 4.7 kg/cm2, 55.5 – 66.8 ps) at 4,000 revolutions per minute (about/m).
After measurement of pressure of oil kill the engine and take out the oil probe.

Before delivering to the oil pressure relay into place, do not forget to wrap up its carving a sealing tape (1) and to fasten the relay with specified rotating the moment. The rotating inhaling moment: the relay of pressure of oil (a) — 14 N • m (1.4 kg-m, 10.5 pound on foot).

If the edge of a sealing tape supports a relay carving, cut off it. |
Start the engine and check the oil pressure relay upon a leakage.
