Routine maintenance

Check of a compression

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

    Check compression pressure on all four cylinders as follows. Warm the engine. After a warming up stop the engine.

After a warming up of the engine put the gear shifting lever on "Neutral" (for the And/T models put the gear shifting lever in position "P"), both install the parking brake and block driving wheels.


    Disconnect a cable of an accelerator (3) from a clip (4) (only for vehicles with the left wheel).
    Disconnect ignition coil couplings. Remove coils of ignition (1). Remove all spark plugs (2). Disconnect wires of a fuel injector from the coupling (5).
    Install the special tool (компрессиметр) in a spark plug opening.

    Switch off coupling (to reduce initial load of the engine) for the M/T models, and press a pedal of management of supply of fuel against the stop completely to open a butterfly valve.
    Start the engine with completely charged accumulator and read the maximum instrument of pressure on a kompressimetra.

To measure compression pressure, start the engine, at least, on 250 revolutions per minute, by means of completely charged accumulator.

    Implement points 9 - 11 on each cylinder to take four readings.
    After check insert spark plugs (2) and coils of ignition (1).
    Connect ignition coil couplings. Connect a cable of an accelerator (3) to a clip (4) (only for vehicles with the left wheel).
