Collector of the exhaust system

Components

The car is not equipped with catalytic converter

1 — the collector of the exhaust system
2 — laying of a collector of the exhaust system
3 — the oxygen heating sensor - 1

4 — the top cover of a collector of the exhaust system
5 — an element of rigidity of a collector of the exhaust system
6 — the oxygen heating sensor coupling – 2

The rotating inhaling moment.

Not to reuse.

In order to avoid a burn, do not serve the exhaust system if it is still hot. Service has to be carried out after the system is cooled.

Removal

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

Disconnect a negative cable from the accumulator.
Switch-off the coupling of the sensor of heating of oxygen-1 (1) and disconnect it from its nest.
Remove the top cover (2) collectors of the exhaust system.
Remove an element of rigidity of a collector of the exhaust system (1) if that is available.
Remove bolts and nuts of a pipe No. 1 of the exhaust system and a bolt of an arm of an exhaust pipe (if that is available).
1 — an exhaust pipe No. 1
Remove a collector of the exhaust system (1) and its laying (2) from a cylinder head.

Installation

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

Put new laying (1) on a cylinder head.
Establish a collector of the exhaust system.
Establish a ring sealant and an exhaust pipe No. 1 (1) to a collector of the exhaust system. Before establishing a ring sealant, check it regarding damage or wear, and if necessary replace. Use new lock-nuts if they are worn-out. Fasten pipe fixture with the specified rotating moment. The rotating inhaling moment: a bolt or a nut of an exhaust pipe No. 1 (a) — 50 N • m (5.0 kg-m, 36.5 pounds on foot).
Establish an element of rigidity of a collector of the exhaust system (1) if that is available. Fasten a bolt and a nut of an element of rigidity of a collector of the exhaust system to the specified rotating moment.
Establish the top cover (2) on the collector of the exhaust system.
Connect the coupling (1) of the sensor of heating of oxygen - 1 and reliably insert the coupling into an arm.
Connect a negative cable to the accumulator. Check whether there is no leak of exhaust gas from the exhaust system.
