Brake cylinder

Removal

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

    Execute item 1 - the 6th procedures of removal of the Section the Brake drum. Execute item 2 - 4 procedures of removal the Brake shoe Undressed. Release a cap nut of the brake highway (or nuts) but only so that liquid did not follow.
    Remove adjusting boats of the wheel cylinder. Disconnect the brake highway (or highways) from the wheel cylinder and establish a cap of a stopper of the safety valve of the wheel cylinder (1) to the highway not to allow liquid to pour out.

Survey

Examine the wheel cylinder whether there are no wear tracks, cracks, corrosion or damages.

Clear components of the wheel cylinder of brake fluid.

Installation (for not soldered type)

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

    Remove a cap of a stopper of the safety valve from the brake highway and connect the highway (or highways) to the wheel cylinder (1) so that liquid did not proceed.
    Tighten the wheel cylinder on a back plate of a brake (1) according to torque of an inhaling. Torque of an inhaling: bolt of the wheel cylinder (a): 13 N • m (1.3 kg-m, 9.5 pounds feet).
    The torque of an inhaling of a cap nut (2) (or nuts) the brake highway (3) which was connected in item 1 above has to meet the specification. Torque of an inhaling: a cap nut of the brake highway (b) — 16 N • m (1.6 kg-m, 12.0 pounds feet). Establish a cap of a stopper of the safety valve, removed from the highway, back on a cap of a stopper of the safety valve. Then address item 1 - the 6th procedures of installation the Brake shoe Undressed.

Surely pit air from the brake system (the description of operation — see the Section Air Drain from brakes in the Head the Brake system).
