Check and adjustment

Drain of air from brakes

Brake fluid is very dangerous to paint. If liquid incidentally got on the painted surface, immediately erase brake fluid and clear the painted surface.


If the vehicle is equipped with ABS, be convinced that the ignition switch is switched-off.

Surely pit air from the brake system as shown below when the oil hydraulic actuator is disconnected Hydraulic highways of the brake system consist of two separate contours, one for brakes of forward wheels, another for brakes of back wheels. Drain of air is necessary for a brake of the right and left forward wheel, a brake of the left back wheel and LSPV (if the car has no ABS), i.e. in 4 places (3 places for vehicles with ABS).

Without ABS

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

    Fill a tank of the main cylinder with brake fluid and support him filled in at least half during air drain.
    Remove a spuskny stopper of the safety valve (1).
    Attach a vinyl tube (2) to a spuskny stopper of the safety valve of the brake cylinder, and insert other end into a vessel (3).
    Press several times on the brake lever, and then, holding the lever in the pressed state, release a spuskny stopper of the safety valve approximately on one third half of a turn.
    When liquid pressure in the cylinder is reduced to a minimum, tighten a trigger stopper of the safety valve.
    Repeat operation until in the hydraulic line there is no vial of air left.
    When bubbles disappear, press and hold the brake lever and tighten a trigger stopper of the safety valve.
    Torque of an inhaling
      Forward brake Back brake
        Trigger stopper of the safety valve of the wheel cylinder (a): 7.5 N • m (0.75 kg-m, 5.5 pounds on foot) Trigger stopper of the LSPV safety valve (if the car is equipped with it): 7.5 N • m (0.75 kg-m, 5.5 pounds on foot)
    Then attach a trigger stopper of the safety valve.
    After air drain, give liquid pressure to the pipeline and check whether there is no leak.
    Fill up liquid level in a tank to the specified level. Check the brake lever for "softness". If the soft lever, repeat the procedure of drain of air.
