Check of operation of the brake amplifier

There are two ways of performance of this survey, with a tester and without it. It is usually possible to define approximately a state without use of a tester.

For conducting this check, be convinced that in the hydraulic highway there is no air.

Air tightness check

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

    Start the engine. Stop the engine after it works 1-2 minutes. Press several times the brake lever with that effort, as at usual braking and pay attention to the pedal course. If the pedal first az leaves deeply, but its course decreases at the second and the subsequent pressing, necessary degree of air tightness is reached.

    If the course of a pedal does not change, necessary degree of air tightness, is not reached.

In case of malfunction, examine vacuum lines of consolidation and replace any faulty elements.

    After that repeat all procedure of check.

Work check

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

    When the engine is stopped, several times press the brake lever with the same effort and be convinced that the course of a pedal does not change. Start the engine, having pressed the brake lever. If the pedal course increases a little, the brake works normally. If the course of a pedal does not change, it testifies to malfunction.

Check of air tightness under loading

    When the engine works, press the brake lever. Then stop the engine, holding the brake lever pressed.

    Hold the brake lever pressed within 30 seconds. If height of a pedal does not change, a condition of a brake good. But if the pedal rises, a condition of a brake bad.
