Lever of the parking brake
Removal

Disconnect a negative cable from the battery.
Stop wheels of the vehicle and release the lever of the parking brake.
Remove a back central console box.
Disconnect a wire conclusion of the switch of the parking brake at the linking coupling.
Remove a lock nut of a cable of the parking brake (1).

Remove bolts of the lever of the parking brake (4) and then remove assembly of the lever of the parking brake (5) from the balance weight (2) and checks (3).

Remove the balance weight from a cable of the parking brake (1).
|
|
Do not disassemble the switch of the lever of the parking brake. It should be removed and established as the uniform block of the switch. |

Installation
The procedure of installation is the procedure of removal performed upside-down.
|
|
Check a tilt angle of the balance weight (2). Balance weight tilt angle: "a" — within 15 degrees. Torque of an inhaling: a bolt of the lever of the parking brake (a) — 26 N • m (2.6 kg-m, 19.0 pounds feet).

After all parts are established, the lever of the parking brake needs to be adjusted.
Address the Section Check and adjustment of the parking brake in the Head the Brake system.
Check whether there is no jamming of the brake drum and whether the brake system correctly works.
