Removal

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

    Remove the brake drum (address item 1 - the 6th procedures of removal of the Section the Brake drum). Check color of a ring or tape for reinstallation.

The color ring on a brake cable serves for identification.

    Disconnect a cable of the parking brake from the lever of a brake shoe (address item 2 - the 5th procedures of removal the Brake shoe Undressed). Disconnect a brake cable from a back plate of a brake (address item 4 of the procedure of removal of the Section the Back plate of a brake of this Chapter).

When it is necessary to remove cables and the right and left parking brake, repeat the steps described above for the right and left wheels.

    Remove a cable about the lever of the parking brake (address items 1 and 4 - the 6th procedures of removal of the Section Lever of the Parking Brake).

Installation

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

    Establish parts as it should be, the return to the procedure of removal, having paid attention to the following. Establish a cap of a brake cable (2) on a back plate of a brake (1) having fixed it.

The color ring or tape on a brake cable serve for identification. Use a cable with the same color ring, as before removal.

    Install a spring of a brake cable (2) and a branch pipe (3) on the lever of a block of the parking brake (1) and fix.
    For installation of a brake shoe, address item 1 - the 5th procedures of installation the Brake shoe Undressed. For installation of the brake drum, address the Section the Brake drum. Correctly stretch and reliably fix by clips a cable of the parking brake. For installation of a cable on the lever of the parking brake, address the subsection Installation of the Section Lever of the Parking Brake. On completion of installation, adjust a cable (address the Section Check and adjustment of the parking brake in the Head the Brake system). Then check whether there is no jamming of the brake drum, and whether the brake system correctly works. After removal of the vehicle from the elevator it is necessary to carry out an inspection of a brake.
