Liquid level

Check of level at a normal working temperature

PERFORMANCE ORDER

Stop the car out of the blue. Put on the parking brake and put "boots" under wheels. With the lever of the choice of transfer in situation "P" start the engine. Warm the engine until temperature of liquid reaches normal working temperature (70 – 80 °C / 158 – 176 °F). As the instruction for check of temperature of liquid, warm the engine until the counter of temperature of cooling liquid of the engine does not show approximately "1" above a point "With". Leave the engine to idle and slowly switch the lever of transfers to situation "L" and back to situation "P". During the operation of the engine idling pull out the oil probe, wipe it with a piece of pure fabric and return into place.

Again take out the oil probe and check on it liquid level. It has to be between the marks "COMPLETELY HEATED-UP" and "NEPROGRETYY". If it is lower than the mark "NEPROGRETYY", add DEXRON analog - III to the COMPLETELY HEATED-UP level.

DO NOT FORCE the ENGINE to WORK ON LIMIT OBORTAKH when checking level of liquid, even after start of the engine.
DO NOT FILL IN TOO MUCH. It can bring in formation of foam and loss of liquid through сапун that as a result can lead to sliding and malfunctions of operation of the automatic transmission.
To bring liquid level from a mark "NEPROGRETYY" to the mark "COMPLETELY HEATED-UP" 0.3 liters will be required (0.64/0.53 USA / lmp. pints).
If the car moved with big loading (for example, with the trailer), the level of liquid should be checked approximately in half an hour after its stop.

Check of level at the room temperature

The inspection of level of liquid at the room temperature which is carried out after repair or replacement of liquid before a test trip (test drive) represents preparation for check of level at a normal working temperature. The procedure check same as it is described above. If the level of liquid is between the marks "COMPLETELY COLD" and "NIZHNY NOVGOROD COLD", pass to test drive. And when temperature will reach the level of normal working temperature, again check the level of liquid and adjust if it is necessary.
