Remove a drum of a back brake. For more details see the Section the Brake drum (Removal) in the Head Stoyanochny and a back brake.

Merge oil from the bridge case, having weakened a drain stopper.

Remove nuts (1) of a stopper of the bearing of a back wheel from the bridge case.

Remove the sensor of speed of a wheel (1) from the case of the back bridge (if there is a system of anti-blocking of brakes of ABS).

• At removal of the sensor of speed of a back wheel do not pull and excessively do not overwind a wire.
• Do not damage the surface of the sensor of speed of a back wheel or a rack and try that dust and dirt did not get to its adjusting opening.

Check that there is a gap between a stopper of the bearing of a back wheel (1) and the lever of a block of the parking brake (2). If there is no gap (3), weaken a cable lock-nut so that the gap appeared.

By means of the special tool (B) and (C) pull out the bridge.

Act carefully that together with the bridge not to pull out a brake plate.

Pull out the bridge carefully not to hook on the top and lower brake racks and a parking cable.

left side: 711.5 mm (28.0 inches) right side: 757.5 mm (29.8 inches)

If there is a system of anti-blocking of brakes of ABS, then to remove a sensor rotor from a lock ring, grind the grinding tool one part of a rotor of the sensor until it does not become thin.

Break a chisel the thinned part of a rotor of the sensor to remove it (if there is a system of anti-blocking of brakes of ABS).

To remove a lock ring (1) from a shaft (3), grind the grinding tool two parts (2) of a lock ring of the bearing (1) until they do not become thin.

Be not overzealous with grinding not to damage a shaft.

Break a chisel the thinned part of a lock ring to remove it.

Remove the bearing (2) from a shaft (1) by means of a hydraulic press (3).

By means of a hydraulic press (2) remove a hairpin (hairpins) (1).

The amount of the lubricant applied in a cavity of an oil epiploon has to take more than 60% of its empty seat. "A": lubricant 99000-25010.

Establish a stopper of the bearing (2) on a shaft (1).

Act carefully not to damage outer side of a lock ring.
• Install the wheel bearing in the right direction.

For the car with system of anti-blocking of brakes of ABS, establish a new rotor of the sensor (1) by means of a press.

Act carefully not to damage outer side of a lock ring.

Apply sealant on the adjoining surface of a stopper of the bearing (1) with a brake plate.

Before putting new sealant clear a surface of old. "B": sealant 99000-31110.

Install a shaft of the back bridge in the case of the bridge and tighten bearing stopper nuts to the specified value of the moment of an inhaling. Inhaling moment: nut of a stopper (a): 23 N • m (2.3 kg-m, 17.0 pounds feet).

At installation of the back bridge act carefully not to damage edge of an oil epiploon in the bridge case.

Tighten a wheel speed sensor bolt to the specified value of the moment of an inhaling (if there is a system of anti-blocking of brakes of ABS). Inhaling moment: a bolt of the sensor of speed (b) — 21 N • m (2.1 kg-m, 15.5 pounds feet).
