1. Analysis of complaints of the customer.
Write down according to the customer of a detail of a problem (malfunction, the complaint) and how it arose. For this purpose use the form of the questionnaire in which information necessary for the correct analysis and diagnostics is entered.
2. Check, registration and "dropping" codes of malfunctions (DTC)/data frame of freezing.
At first, as it is described in the section of check of codes of malfunctions (DTC), check codes of malfunctions (including the considered code). If codes of malfunctions are, unpack or write down them and this framework of freezing, and then "dump" them as it is described in the section "droppings" of codes of malfunctions. The code of malfunction testifies to a malfunction in system, but it is impossible to determine by it whether there is a malfunction now, or it was in the past, and now the normal state was restored. 8. Main check of the automatic transmission and table of diagnostics of malfunctions.
At first execute the main check of the automatic transmission according to the Section the Main check of automatic transmission. 10. Check of periodic problems.
Check those parts in which emergence of periodic problems is the most probable (for example, conducting, sockets, etc.) as it is described in the Head the General information, in the Section Interrupted or weak connection and in the corresponding scheme of codes of malfunctions in a step 2.
11. The final confirming check.
Confirm that the sign of malfunction is eliminated, and in the automatic transmission there are no emergency states. If the corrected malfunction is connected with a code of malfunction of violation of work, "dump" a malfunction code, establish a state at which the code arose, and the automatic transmission and/or the car were repaired, and confirm that there is no malfunction code any more.
