Excessively charged battery

To define a condition of the battery, refer to the Section Battery.
If electrolyte proceeds that is an obvious sign of excessively charged battery, measure tension in the generator plug B at a speed of engine of 2000 rpm.
If tension measured by you is higher than an extreme top point, start dismantling of the generator as it is described in the Section Generator.
Check grounding of brushes. If brushes are not grounded, replace the IC regulator.
Then check an excitement winding for grounding and short circuit (see the Section Visual survey).
