Delay check

This test checks a condition of coupling, a brake of a backing and pressure of liquid. "Delay" means a period since the moment when the lever of the choice of transfer is switched at the idling engine, and till the moment when the push is felt.

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

    Put "boots" under forward and back wheels in front and behind, press a brake pedal.
    Start the engine. Prepare a stop watch and switch the lever of the choice of transfer from situation "N" in "D" and note time from this point before you feel a push. Similarly measure delay time when switching the lever of transfer from situation "N" in "R".

Specification of time of delay

"N" "D"

Less than 1.2 sec.

"N" "R"

Less than 1.5 sec.


  • At repetition of this test wait not less than a minute after switching of the lever of the choice of transfer back to situation "N".
  • For this test it is necessary to warm up the engine completely.
