When conducting road checks, you will choose the safe place where nearby there are no people and moving cars not to allow accident. |
Seats
Check that seats move smoothly and are fixed in any position. Also check that the inclined mechanism of a seatback allows to fix it at any angle.
Seat belts
|
|
Check system of seat belts, including tapes, fasteners, locks, natyazhitel and anchors for damage and wear. If the tag of "REPLACE BELT" on forward seat belts is visible, then replace a belt.
Check that belts are reliably latched.
|
|
Check of level of electrolyte in joint stock bank
Check that electrolyte level is in all cells in the middle, between marks of the minimum and maximum levels in the battery case. If the battery is equipped with the built-in indicator, check a condition of batteries on the indicator.
Operation of the accelerator pedal
Check that the pedal works smoothly without obstacles and nothing interferes it with the course.
Start of the engine

Check the engine for bystry start.
|
|
Before performance of the current check, make sure that there is a sufficient space around the car. Then strongly press a brake pedal, including the emergency brake. Do not press the accelerator pedal. If the engine was started, be ready to switch off ignition at once. Observe these security measures because the car can suddenly start both put injuries to personnel and damage property. |
On cars from the automatic transmission, try to start the engine in all provisions of the handle of gear shifting. The engine has to be started only in P positions (Parking) or "N" (Neutral).
On cars with RKPP, place the gear shifting lever in neutral situation, completely squeeze out a pedal of coupling and try to start the engine.

Check of the exhaust system
|
|
Check for leakage, cracks and weakening of fastenings.
Coupling (for cars with RKPP)
Check existence of the following conditions:
Coupling is completely wrung out when pressing a coupling pedal
The frictional coupling does not slip when squeezing coupling and at acceleration.
In work of the coupling there are no anomalies.

|
Lever of gear shifting or handle of the selector of transfers
|
|
Check the lever of gear shifting or the handle of the selector of transfers for smooth switching to all positions and correct work of the check point in all modes.
At the car equipped with automatic transmission also check that the indicator of transfers correctly shows a position in which to be the selector handle.
At the car equipped with automatic transmission check that at inclusion of the P mode the car is motionless at the released pedal of a brake and not tightened emergency brake.

Brakes
Foot brake
Check the following:
The pedal has the appropriate course.
Brakes correctly work.
There are no extraneous noises.
The brake effort is evenly distributed on all wheels.
Does not klinit a brake.
Parking brake

|
Check that the lever has the appropriate course.
|
|
If the car is parked on quite steep slope, check that on its way there are no hindrances to avoid damages and damage of property. Be ready to apply quickly the main brake in case the car begins to roll down. |
Make sure that the parking brake effectively works at a steady slope at completely extended lever of the parking brake.

|
Steering
|
|
Make sure that the steering wheel has no side plays and freely rotates.
Make sure that the car does not ransack and that does not pull it aside.
|
|
Engine
|
|
Check that the engine quickly responds on the accelerator pedal during the work at any speeds.
Check that in the engine there are no extraneous noises, and uncharacteristic vibrations.
|
|
Body, wheels, and transfer system
Check that a body, wheels and transfer system do not publish uncharacteristic noise and do not cause vibrations.
Measuring devices and control sensors
Check that a speedometer, the odometer, the fuel level sensor, the temperature sensor, etc. show adequate information.
Lighting
Check operability of all lighting fixtures
Windshield heater
Periodically check whether air from a heater at the included heater or the conditioner blows. You will choose the DEF mode and expose the regulator of speed of an obduv in the provision of "MAX" for check.
