Removal

PERFORMANCE ORDER

Weaken wheel nuts approximately on 180 ° (half-turn).

Lift the car. Remove a wheel.

Never use heating to weaken a hard wheel as it can reduce service life of a wheel and damage wheel bearings.

Installation

Wheel nuts should be tightened in a certain sequence and to the specified value of the moment of an inhaling, otherwise the wheel or the brake drum or a disk can be bent. Inhaling moment: a wheel nut (a) — 100 N • m (10.0 kg-m, 72.5 pounds feet).

Before installation of wheels remove from the mounted surface of wheels and the brake drum or a disk corrosion educations by means of a rigid wire brush. If at installation of wheels there is no good contact of metal with metal of the mounted surfaces, it can cause weakening of wheel nuts that can lead further to a wheel sletaniye at the movement of the car.
