THE GENERAL DATA

1 temperature of a cooling liquid

The index works at the included ignition. However after inclusion should pass some time before arrow installation in the position corresponding to actual temperature.

Interval of temperatures of the cold engine

While the arrow is in the left part of a scale, avoid the raised turns and engine loading!

Working interval of temperatures

At a normal mode of movement of the marksman of the index of temperature should fluctuate within an average part of a scale.

At considerable loading of the engine and a heat of external air of the marksman can depart and further to the right on a scale. It should not become an occasion to alarm, the alarm lamp of system of cooling does not blink yet.

Alarm lamp

The blinking of an alarm lamp of temperature / of level of a cooling liquid during movement testifies to falling of its level or an overheat. Stop, muffle the engine and establish the reason of malfunctions.

2 – a tachometre

The red sector of a scale corresponds to a range of the maximum turns, admissible is short-term for обкатанного and the heated-up engine. It is recommended, however, most later at achievement by an arrow of the given sector of a scale to be switched to the raised transfer or to lower gas. During the period обкатки it is necessary to avoid высокооборотных modes.

3 – temperature of external air

At switching of the display of cars with the automatic conditioner under the Fahrenheit scale ( F) the index of temperature of external air accordingly automatically changes indication to indications.

At temperatures from +5 With to 0 With on the display to the right of the basic indications there is a symbol in the form of a snowflake.

At temperatures from 0 With to–5 With a snowflake appears to the left of the basic indication.

Occurrence of a symbol in the form of a snowflake warns the driver about necessity of display of extra care in view of danger of ice.

On the motionless car or at movement with very small speed temperature indication can be a little above actual temperature owing to heat radiated by the engine.

4 – a speedometer

Division of a scale of a speedometer into sectors is defined by engine type. Therefore divergences with an illustration are possible. The speedometer is equipped by the digital counter of the general and single run, and also the index a maintenance service interval.

Run counters

The top counter registers the general, and bottom – single run. Accuracy of readout of single run of the bottom counter makes 100 m.

The counter of single run is established on zero by pressing a minimum within 2 seconds of the button of dump, nearby with a speedometer.

The index of intervals of maintenance service

After ignition inclusion on a place of the counter of single run within several seconds indication of the next maintenance service blinks. At approach of term of the next maintenance service indication blinks within approximately 60 seconds also after engine start. At desire, without waiting a total time of the expiration of indication, (near to a speedometer) it is possible to be switched by pressing of the button of dump to the counter of single run.

Indication of the next maintenance service appears in advance – for 1000 km or for 10 days. Occurrence of the following indication is possible:

OEL – service – oil replacement

ln 1 – inspection service

ln 2 – additional maintenance service

After carrying out of maintenance service indication comes back in a starting position at enterprise Audi.

Display of faults

In the presence of malfunction in a combination of devices on a place of indications of the counter of single run there is an indication "dEF". Malfunction urgently eliminate at enterprise Audi.

5 – the button of dump of the counter of single run

The counter of single run is established on zero by pressing a minimum within 2 seconds of the button of dump, nearby with a speedometer.

6 – the index of level of fuel in a tank

After inclusion of ignition and after refuelling should pass 2 minutes before arrow installation in corresponding to the actual rest of fuel position.

Capacity of a fuel tank of front-wheel cars makes approximately 80 litres, and all-wheel drive about 75 litres. These are the approached values. Actually filled quantity can differ from the given sizes a little.

If the arrow has reached a reserve field, it means that in a stock remains about 12 litres.

Fire of a symbol of a gaz station in a combination of devices reminds, besides, of necessity of refuelling. Never develop fuel to a dry tank.

8 – стрелочные hours

9 – temperature of oil of the engine

10 – the voltmeter

The voltmeter shows pressure of an electric onboard network. A normal amount: 12–14 volt. At a voltage reduction at the working engine more low 12 volt check up power supplies (the accumulator and the generator) at enterprise Audi. During start-up of the engine pressure can fall more low 8 volt.
