1.20. Control lever positions
THE GENERAL DATA

At the included ignition in a combination of devices there is an indication of actual position of a control lever. On the given illustration position "Р" is shown.

Р – lay blocking

Driving wheels are blocked by means of kinematic communications. Lay blocking can use only after a car stop.

For lever installation in position "Р" preliminary wring out it downwards. At switching "R" in position "Р" of it it is not necessary to do of position.

For страгивания the lever of switching from position "Р" at the included ignition press a pedal of a brake and wring out the lever downwards.

R – backing transfer

Backing transfer can be included only after a stop of the car and at engine work in an idling mode. Before switching in position "R" wring out the lever downwards. At the included ignition and control lever installation in position "R" backing lanterns burn.

N – neutral position (idling position)

For страгивания a control lever from position "N" at speed less than 5 km/h, and also at the motionless car and the included ignition to press a brake pedal.

D – a substantive provision at advance

Automatic switching on raised and hill-climbing gears within four steps of a box is carried out depending on loading of the engine, speed and the movement program.

In a movement mode, under certain conditions, happens more preferably temporarily to translate a control lever in one of more low described positions.

3 – position for movement on roads to hilly district

The given position is recommended at frequent switching from 3 transfers on 2nd and back, at a control lever finding in the basic position "D".

4th transfer is blocked. Thanks to it the brake effect of the engine a little raises at the released pedal of an accelerator.

2 – position for movement in mountains

This position of the lever approaches for overcoming of long descents and liftings. 3rd and 4th transfers are blocked. It allows to avoid useless switching on the raised transfers and to increase brake effect of the engine.

1 – position for overcoming of abrupt biases

It is recommended for overcoming very much steep slopes and descents – especially at movement with the trailer. For inclusion wring out a control lever downwards. After inclusion the car moves only on 1st transfer. It reaches the maximum brake effect of the engine.

At manual switching on hill-climbing gears it is possible to establish a control lever in positions "3", "2" and "1". However automatics will be switched only after becomes impossible разносное increase in turns of the engine.
