Coupling cover, clutch plate and flywheel
Dismantling/assembly
See the Head Mechanical transmission (type 1).
Removal
|
|
The special tool (A) you hold a flywheel not movably and remove bolts of a cover of coupling (1), a cover of coupling (2) and a clutch plate. Special tool (A): 09924-17810.
|
|
By means of the special tool (B) and a wrench (2) pull out the bearing of the leading shaft (1).
Special tool:
(B): 09917-58010 (G16 engine)
(B): 09923-73210 (J20 engines)
|
Remove the bearing of switching off of coupling and a fork of switching off.
|
|
Check
Bearing of the leading shaft and bearing of switching off of coupling
Check the bearing for smoothness of rotation and replace it if malfunction is found.
Clutch plate
|
Measure depth of drowning of rivets, that is distance between a head of a rivet and a working surface of a disk. If you find in any opening rivet depth on a working limit, replace a disk.
Rivet head depth:
standard: 1.6 mm (0.06 inches)
working limit: 0.5 mm (0.02 inches)

Coupling cover
|
Check a diaphragm spring for excessive wear or damages.
Check a press plate for wear or thermal spots.
If malfunction is found, replace all detail. Do not sort it on a diaphragm and a press plate.

Flywheel
Check the surface contacting to a clutch plate for uncharacteristic wear or thermal spots. If necessary replace or repair.
Installation
|
Before assembly be convinced that the surface of a flywheel and a press plate is cleared and dried carefully up. |
|
|
Establish a flywheel (1) on a bent shaft and tighten bolts (2) on which previously apply sealant to the specified value of the moment of an inhaling. Special tool (A): 09924-17810. "A": sealant 99000-31110.
Inhaling moment
(a): 78 N • m (7.8 kg-m, 56.5 pounds feet) (G16 engine)
(a): 70 N • m (7.0 kg-m, 50.5 pounds feet) (J20 engine)

By means of the special tool (B) install the bearing of the leading shaft on a flywheel (1). Special tool (B): 09925-98210.
|
|
Level a clutch plate with the center of a flywheel by means of the special tool (C), establish a cover of coupling (1) and bolts (2). Tighten bolts to the specified value of the moment of an inhaling.

Inhaling moment
(A): 23 N • m (2.3 kg-m, 16.5 pounds feet)

- When tightening bolts of a cover of coupling (2) squeeze a clutch plate a hand by means of the special tool (C) to center a disk.
- Gradually evenly tighten cover bolts in a diagonal order.
|
|
Establish a clip (2) on a fork of switching off of coupling (1) and apply lubricant on a fork of switching off of coupling (1).
|
Then establish a fork of switching off of coupling (1) and the bearing of switching off of coupling (4). "A": lubricant 99000-25010.
Apply a little lubricant on the leading shaft (3). Then connect the transmission to the engine. See the Head the Mechanical transmission (type 1). "B": lubricant 99000-25210.

Wrench turn a bent shaft in a forward part and insert the leading shaft of the transmission (3) on a clutch plate so that vents were hooked. |
