Fuel filter

Removal

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

    Dump fuel pressure in the giving fuel-supply line.

This work cannot be performed if the engine hot. If to make it, it can negatively affect the catalyst.

    Disconnect a negative cable (-) from the accumulator. Lift the vehicle.
    Disconnect inlet and final hoses (2), (3) from the fuel filter (1).

After a detachment of a fuel-supply line a small amount of fuel can flow out. To reduce risk of personal traumatism, cover a fitting which you are going to disconnect with shop rags. Put these rags in especially for it the intended container after the detachment is complete.

    Remove the fuel filter (1) from a chassis frame.

Installation

Repeat the procedure of dismantle upside-down, without forgetting as follows.

Upon completion of installation check that there was no leak of fuel on each connection.
