Piston

Check the piston for wear. Replace if it is necessary.

Electromagnetic switch

Insert the piston and release. The piston has to return to initial situation quickly. Replace it if it is necessary.

Check of a chain of the involving coil

Check electric conductance of conclusions of 'S' and 'M' of the electromagnetic switch. If there is no electric conductance, the coil is opened and it should be replaced.

Check of a chain of the holding coil

Check electric conductance of a conclusion of 'S' of the electromagnetic switch and case of the coil. If there is no electric conductance, the coil is opened and it should be replaced.

Anchor shaft sleeve

Check a sleeve for wear or damages. Replace if it is necessary.

Brush

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

    Check brushes for wear.
Measure brush length and if it is lower than a limit, replace a brush.

Brush length

Types of 0.9 kV and 1.2 kV

Type of 1.4 kV

standard

12.3 mm (0.44 inches)

16.5 mm (0.65 inches)

limit

7 mm (0.28 inches)

Install brushes on the brush holder and check, whether the smooth movement.

Spring

Check springs of brushes for wear, damage or other malfunctions. Replace if it is necessary.

Brush spring tension

Standard

1.9 — 2.5 kg (3.97 pounds)

Limit

0.6 kg (1.32 pounds)

Brush holder

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

Check the movement of a brush in the brush holder. If the brush in the brush holder gets stuck, believe whether the brush holder is bent and whether the sliding surfaces are soiled. Clear or correct if it is necessary.
Check electric conductance between a positive conclusion of a brush and the grounded brush holder. If there is an electric conductance, the brush holder is grounded
it is grounded because of defect of isolation and it has to be replaced.

Anchor

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

Check a collector whether there is no dirt and a deposit. Correct by means of an emery paper or the lathe if it is necessary.
Check, evenly or the collector is worn-out, having fixed an anchor on V-shaped blocks. If the deviation of an arrow of the indicator exceeds a limit, repair or replace.

The specification assumes below that the anchor is not bent. The bent anchor should be replaced.

      The collector is not round
Standard: 0.05 mm (0.002 inches) or less Limit: 0.4 mm (0.015 inches)
1 — an anchor
2 — V-block
3 — a magnetic rack
4 — the arrow indicator
Check a collector for wear. If diameter of less limit, replace an anchor.
      External diameter of a collector:
standard: 29.4 mm (1.16 inches) limit: 28.8 mm (1.13 inches)
Check depth of isolation of a collector. Correct or replace if it is less limit.
Depth of isolation of a collector of "a":
        standard: 0.4 - 0.6 mm (0.015 - 0.023 inches) limit: 0.2 mm (0.008 inches)

1 — a collector segment
2 — the insulator

Grounding check

Check a collector and the core of an anchor. If there is an electric conductance, the anchor is grounded and it should be replaced.

Check of a chain

Check electric conductance between segments. If there is no electric conductance in any checked points, the chain is opened, and the anchor should be replaced.

Transfers

Check internal and planetary transfers for wear, damage or other malfunctions. Replace if it is necessary.

Gear and obgonny coupling

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

Check a gear for wear, damage or other damages.
Check that the coupling is stopped if to turn it in the direction of the drive, and smoothly rotates in the opposite direction. Replace if it is necessary.
Check shaft teeth for wear or damage. Replace if it is necessary.
Check smoothness of the movement of a gear.

Sleeve of a forward casing

Check a sleeve for wear or damage. Replace if it is necessary.
