Spark plug

Removal

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

    Switch-off the ignition coil coupling. Remove a bolt of the coil of ignition (1), and then extend assembly of the coil of ignition (2). Remove a spark plug (3).
J20 engine.

Survey

At service of iridic/platinum spark plugs (type of candles with a thin central electrode), do not touch the central electrode not to damage it. The electrode is not rather strong to sustain mechanical effort, and its material also mechanically not really strong.


 PERFORMANCE ORDER

    Check them for wear of electrodes, carbon adjournment, it is damaged
    ие isolation.
    If any malfunction is found, adjust an air gap, clear a special cleaner for spark plugs or replace them with new candles as it is specified.
      Air gap of the spark plug "a": 1.0 - 1.1 mm (0.039 - 0.043 inches) Spark plug type: DENSO K20PR - U11/SK16PR11, NGK BKR6E-11 / * IFR5J11

At a temperature below - 25 °C (-13 °F), are recommended to use candles with a sign (*) for the best operation of the engine.

Installation

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

    Establish a candle(s) of ignition (3) and tighten them according to the specified torque of an inhaling. Torque of an inhaling: ignition candle(s): 25 N • m (2.5 kg-m, 18.0 pounds feet). Establish assembly of the coil of ignition (2) reliably. Tighten a bolt of the coil of ignition (1), and then connect the ignition coil coupling.
J20 engine.
