2.2.4. Engine oil and filter replacement

THE GENERAL DATA

The oil filter (models with the 4-cylinder engine)

The oil filter is located on an engine left-hand side.

Regular replacement of oil and the oil filter is one of the most important operations for prolongation of service life of the car.

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Warm up the engine.

2. Turn off заглушку a drain aperture approximately on a turn floor. Establish the container for gathering of oil and completely unscrew заглушку.

3. Wait, while oil will flow down, moving the container if it is necessary.

4. Wipe заглушку and replace a sealing washer if it is necessary. Wipe area round a drain aperture and twirl заглушку till the demanded moment of an inhaling.

5. Establish the container for oil gathering under the oil filter.

6. Using the tool for removal of the oil filter if it is necessary, ослабьте a filter inhaling.

7. Unscrew the filter a hand

8. Clear a filter installation site. Oil a sealing ring of the new filter and establish it on the engine. Reliably twirl the filter a hand.

9. Turn off a cap of a jellied mouth.

10. Get probe for check of level of oil.

11. Fill in oil of demanded type.

12. Start the engine and check up, whether there is leak of oil round the oil filter and заглушки no drain aperture.

The prevention
On models with турбокомпрессором do not lift engine turns, the alarm bulb of pressure of oil will not go out yet!
