Service out of a workshop

Shock-absorber

The shock-absorber is not subject to control, a refill and dismantling assembly. The only form of service of the shock-absorber is its replacement when it loses the shock-absorbing ability, is damaged or experiences liquid leak.

Removal

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

    Lift the car and remove a back wheel.
    Floor jack (2) prop up the case of the back bridge (1) that it did not fall.
    Remove a lock-nut (1) (if is available) and a nut of the shock-absorber (2). Remove the lower fixing bolt (7). Remove the shock-absorber (6).

Installation

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

    Install the shock-absorber. See the drawing to establish a fixing bolt in the right direction. Remove a jack. Lower the elevator. Tighten nuts to the specified value of the moment of an inhaling.
      Inhaling moment:
        nut of the shock-absorber (a): 29 N • m (2.9 kg-m, 21.0 pound foot) lock-nut of the shock-absorber (b): 29 N • m (2.9 kg-m, 21.0 pound foot) lower nut of the shock-absorber (c): 100 N • m (10.0 kg-m 72.5 pounds feet)

Tighten the lower nut when the car is removed from the elevator and is in not loaded state.
